Tafe assessment piece - Traffic Signal Box

Hi all..one of our recent assessment pieces at TAFE was to submit designs suitable for a Traffic Signal box..What is a Traffic Signal box I hear you all say...???? they are all around..well in QLD..I would imagine other states would have them..anywhere they are traffic signals look around and there should be a nondescript grey box...that is one...never seen one..?? now that I have told you what they are you will be looking everywhere now..haha..anyway..up here in QLD as a way to stop graffiti they have a program that anyone can be involved in..all you have to do is submit designs and if selected they assign you a box to paint...well here is mine..yahhhh...my first official piece of art out on display for all to see..I am wrapped in its location as well..I go past it everyday..I am very happy with how it turned out and it was alot of fun to do..
Mine stands for "Logan Youth" ..Logan is the city I live in..and the flowers the girl is holding in her hands is the symbol for Logan..the green and blues represent the Logan River and all the farming land that makes up our city and the rainbows and bright colours show a fresh bold look to the future
thanks for looking...

Brilliant Ness!!! How very special to be driving past your very own public piece of art work, your family must be so proud. I just wish I knew someone else in Logan to tell LOL.

Hi Ness, You are such a clever girl. I love the signal box, what a treat that it is in an area where you can see it all the time. Your sketches are also great, looks like you and Annette Husband should do a themed swap...lol
see you soon,
Louise
